Time to  return to pain-free and disability-free sport was 18 (± 11) days in the HA group (in 147 patients; 89% response rate) but was not achieved in any of the control group patients.

Subsequent trials carried out at a 12 month follow-up period demonstrate that Sportvis™ patients had increased grip strength versus the placebo group and not only did they feel significantly less pain when gripping objects but they also experienced better pain relief at rest versus the placebo group.
